# 9.2.  $KOL Token Burning Mechanism

Underpinning our commitment to sustainability, a structured token burning mechanism is employed. All $KOL Tokens used for NFT purchases and in-game item upgrades are systematically burned. This initiative ensures scarcity, bolstering the intrinsic value of the token. As of now, a substantial 90,551,857 $KOL Tokens have undergone this process, and as our player base expands, this mechanism will persistently diminish token supply.
